Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University celebrated the 24th foundation anniversary on the SAU campus in Dhaka on Thursday.
The day-long programme was inaugurated by releasing balloons and pigeons, under the leadership of the vice-chancellor of the university, Professor Md Abdul Latif, said a press release.
After that, the rally started from in front of the administrative building and circled various halls, residential buildings, academic and administrative buildings of the university and ended at the Teachers-Students Centre.
Teachers, students, officials, employees and staff of the university participated in the rally.
The event was attended by SAU pro鈥揤C Professor Md Belal Hossain, treasurer Professor Md Abul Bashar, dean of the faculty of agribusiness Management Professor Md Zakir Hossain, dean of the faculty of agriculture Professor AMM Shamsuzzaman, dean of the faculty of animal science and veterinary medicine Professor Md Jahangir Alam, dean of the faculty of fisheries and marine science Professor Kazi Ahsan Habib, dean of postgraduate studies Professor M Salahuddin Mahmud Chowdhury, director of planning, development and works Professor Md Sarowar Hossain, director of finance and accounts Professor AKM Ruhul Amin, director of ICT Professor Md Jamilur Rahman, director of students affairs Professor Md Ashabul Hoque and proctor Professor Md Arfan Ali.
A discussion on the history of the university and Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Haque was held at the TSC of the university.
