The Jahangirnagar University authorities on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding with the Southeast Bank for launching a lifetime free co-branded credit card for teachers and officers of the university.
JU treasurer Professor Md Abdur Rab and Southeast Bank deputy managing director Md Masum Uddin Khan signed the agreement at the JU council room, said a press release.
Under this memo, Southeast Bank will launch a lifetime free co-branded credit card for teachers and officers of JU.
Credit card holders will enjoy various benefits similar to those of conventional credit cards, including special privileges for using airport lounges during international trips.
In addition, students will be provided with free pre-paid cards with a waived first-year charge.
JU vice-chancellor Professor Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan, pro-VC Professor Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman, pro-VC Professor Sohel Ahmed, deans of various faculties, proctor, president and secretary of Jahangirnagar University Teachers鈥� Association and head of card division and senior executive vice-president of Southeast Bank, Md. Abdus Sabur Khan, among others, were present at the event.
