
In collaboration with the department of surgery and theriogenology of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University and the SAU administration, surgical and obstetrical boxes were distributed among level–4 first semester students of the faculty of animal science and veterinary medicine.
SAU vice-chancellor Professor Md Abdul Latif was present as chief guest at the event at the SAU, said a press release.
He said, ‘It is our moral responsibility to provide the necessary instruments to the students as soon as possible. In the future, initiatives will be taken to distribute them from level-3 onwards.’
Addressing the students, he said, ‘From now on, you will utilise every moment of your life, practice professionalism honestly, only then will you become true veterinarians.’
SAU pro–VC Professor Md Belal Hossain was present as special guest at the event.
The guests of honour were Professor Md Sarowar Hossain, director of planning development and works; Professor Md Saiful Islam, director of transport pool; Professor Md Ashabul Haque, director of students’ affairs; and proctor Professor Md Arfan Ali.
Chairperson of the department of surgery and theriogenology Md Rashedul Islam was present as faculty coordinator at the event.
On behalf of ACME Laboratories Limited, sales manager Md Aftab Ali conducted an educational session on animal health and use of veterinary drugs at the event, which was presided over by dean of the faculty of animal science and veterinary medicine Professor Md Jahangir Alam.
