
Milestone School and College has begun a month-long wall magazine festival on the premises of the institution in Dhaka.
Principal of the college Mohammad Ziaul Alam inaugurated the festival at the college’s main campus on August 13 and at the permanent campus on August 14, said a press release on Saturday.
Vice-principal for administration of the college Md Masud Alam, vice-principal Professor Zahirul Huq, Mizanur Rahman Khan, Umme Salma Rouf, Iftekhar Hossain and Sayed Muhammad Shafiqul Alam attended the inaugural ceremony.Â
Handwritten wall magazine of students of Class IX and Class XII have been displayed in the festival. Through the magazines written in Bangla and English, the students mainly wanted to express their artistic thoughts.
Mohammad Ziaul Alam visited each wall magazine and spoke to the students about the topics of the magazines.
He said, ‘We pay our deepest respects and remember everyone we lost in the jet crash. We pray that the injured may recover quickly and we sympathise with the family members of the victims.’ Â
The press release also mentioned that Milestone School and College have begun normal educational activities with the full support of the guardians.
Along with the teaching, the counselling activities continue. Already the students of the school branch have been shifted to a new well-equipped building. Various co-curricular activities have been added to return to normal educational activities after the traumatic accident.
