International Standard University鈥檚 computer science and engineering department chairperson Professor Hakikur Rahman has recently participated in a global event hosted by the United Nations World Summit on the information society.
He spoke at session 413 titled Closing the Global Digital Divide held in Geneva in Switzerland and virtually, said a press release on Wednesday.
A renowned information and communication technology expert, Hakikur Rahman, in his presentation, has emphasised the importance of inclusive and people-centring ICT policies to ensure that no one is left behind in the digital age.
He shared experiences from Bangladesh and called for stronger support for rural connectivity, women鈥檚 digital empowerment and access to technology for youth and marginalised communities.
Rahman鈥檚 contribution showcased Bangladesh鈥檚 growing leadership in advocating for digital equity and sustainable ICT development at the global level.
