The department of urban and regional planning of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology has recently held a farewell programme for the outgoing batch and a freshers鈥� reception for the newly enrolled students at the CUET in Chattogram.
CUET vice-chancellor Professor Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan was present as chief guest at the programme, said a press release on Saturday.
Dean of the faculty of architecture and planning Professor Muhammad Rashidul Hasan and director of the Directorate of Student Welfare Professor Md Mahbubul Alam were present as special guests at the programme, which was presided over by the head of the URP department Debashish Roy Raja.
The department also welcomed the students who were the champions of the BIP Debate Competition 2024 of World Town Planning Day 2024, the champions of the GIS Case Competition of MIST Environment Fest 2025, the champions of IntraBiz 1.0 at the CUET, and the 2nd runner-up of the CrackJek 2.0.
