Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University distributed surgical and obstetrical box among 108 final year students of the faculty of animal science and veterinary medicine at a programme at the SAU Teachers-Students Centre in Dhaka on Wednesday.

The university administration provided these surgical and obstetrical boxes through the department of surgery and theriogenology, said a press release.


SAU vice-chancellor, Professor Md Abdul Latif was present as chief guest while SAU treasurer Professor Muhammad Abul Bashar was present as special guest at the programme.

Moderated by chairman of the department of surgery and theriogenology associate professor Md Rashedul Islam, Square Pharmaceuticals senior manager for agrovet Md Rubayet Nurul Hasan was present as guest of honour at the programme, which was presided over by dean of ASVM faculty Professor Md Jahangir Alam.

Deans of various faculties, directors, chairmen of various departments of ASVM faculty, teachers, officers and students were also present at the programme.

‘Quality veterinary surgeons are very important in our country,’ Professor Abdul Latif said, adding, ‘With everyone’s efforts, we will make our veterinary hospital the best veterinary hospital in Dhaka.’
