Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus will inaugurate the National University July Martyred Memorial Scholarship programme on Tuesday.
He will distribute the cheques of the NU scholarship at his office in Dhaka鈥檚 Tejgaon area, said a NU press release on Monday.
On Sunday, National University announced 鈥楯uly Martyred Memorial Scholarship鈥� for the students of different colleges under the university.
The scholarship will be offered in memory of the martyrs of anti-discrimination students鈥� movement in July and August last year, according to an office order of the university.
The university has decided to introduce the 鈥楯uly Martyred Memorial Scholarship-NU鈥� to make the martyrs as 鈥榰nforgettable鈥� and inspire the students with patriotism by highlighting their sacrifice.
Professor Yunus will also inaugurate the 36-day long July memorial programmes from July 1 to August 5, marking the July uprising anniversary, on the same day.
