
Gonoshasthaya Samaj Vittik Medical College officially welcomed its 30th batch of MBBS students with an oath-taking and orientation ceremony on Tuesday.
The event began with a solemn oath, administered by Professor Kazi Habibur Rahman, principal of the medical college, who recited seven guiding principles to inspire the new students to become both skilled physicians and compassionate human beings, said a press release.
The ceremony was attended by distinguished faculty members, including Manjur Qadir Ahmed, former coordinator of Gonoshasthaya Kendra, Professor Abul Bashar, head of the department of community medicine and Professor Shakil Mahmud, head of the department of biochemistry, along with other senior teachers and department heads.
Following the oath-taking, an orientation programme was conducted in the college’s seminar room to familiarise the incoming students with academic expectations, campus life, and the institution’s values.
