The 18th Scholarship and Waiver Committee Meeting of the Bangladesh Army University of Engineering and Technology was held at the syndicate room of the university on Wednesday, said a press release on Thursday.
The meeting was chaired by the university鈥檚 vice-chancellor Brigadier General Md Mizanuzzaman.
In the meeting, merit-based scholarships and waivers exceeding Tk聽30 million were approved for students enrolled in the fall 2024 semesters under different categories.
In the meeting Colonel Md Shawkat Hossain, psc (Retd.), treasurer,聽 Lieutenant Colonel KFA Sohel (Retd.), registrar, Professor Md Sazzad Hossain, dean, faculty of science and humanities, Professor Mohammad Nurul Islam, dean, faculty of mechanical engineering, Professor Md Shahidul Islam, dean, faculty of law, Professor Mohammad Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan, dean, faculty of ECE, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Mahmuduzzaman, AQ, Bogura, heads of relevant departments, proctor, student welfare adviser, and Md Masudar Rahman, assistant professor, Department of Mathematics, who served as the member secretary of the committee, were present at the meeting among others.
