
Bangladesh’s jewellers on Monday increased the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 1,507 a bhari (11.664 grams), setting the new price of the precious metal at Tk 1,17,331 a bhari in Bangladesh market with immediate effect.
On April 6, the Bangladesh Jewellers Association, BAJUS, raised the price of gold by Tk 1,751 a bhari, setting its price Tk 1,15,824 a bhari of 22-carat gold with an effect on Sunday.
According to a BAJUS press release issued on Monday, the standing committee on pricing and price monitoring of BAJUS made the decision.
The price of 21-carat gold increased to Tk 1,12,208 a bhari from Tk 1,10,575 a bhari and that of 18-carat gold increased to Tk 96,228 a bhari from Tk 94,770 a bhari, the press release said.
