NCC Bank recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Youth Development, aiming to empower the young generation of the country and achieve sustainable economic growth.

Through this strategic collaboration, NCC Bank will provide SME loan facilities in potential sectors to the young entrepreneurs trained by the Department of Youth Development, becoming self-reliant and contributing to the economic development of the country.


Gazi Md Saifuzzaman, director general (Grade-1) of the Department of Youth Development, and M Shamsul Arefin, managing director of NCC Bank, signed the agreement at a ceremony held at the head office of the Department of Youth Development in Motijheel, Dhaka, said a press release.

M A Akher, joint secretary and director (Admin), Priyasindhu Talukder, joint secretary and director (Seed Financing), and A K M Mofizul Islam, director (Training) from the DYD, and Md Habibur Rahman, deputy managing director, Sharif Mohammad Mahsin, SVP and Head of SME, Shahin Akter Nuha, SVP and head of transaction banking and cash management division, and Md Anisur Rahman Majumder, VP and head of financial inclusion cell from NCC Bank, among others, attended the ceremony.

Speaking at the event, Saifuzzaman said the Department of Youth Development trains around 300,000 youths annually to make them self-reliant.

He thanked NCC Bank for partnering to support educated and trained young entrepreneurs in tackling unemployment.

Shamsul Arefin said NCC Bank aims to ensure no young entrepreneur is held back by financial barriers.

He noted that the bank promotes self-reliance for sustainable growth and hopes the partnership will help thousands of youths become entrepreneurs and create jobs.

He added that both organisations are committed to long-term collaboration to build a self-reliant generation for balanced national development.
