The mobile application ‘My BKB App’ by Bangladesh Krishi Bank has been recognised as the Best Innovative Initiative under the State-Owned Specialized Bank category in the ‘Innovation Showcasing’ segment of the e-Governance and Innovation Action Plan 2024–2025.

Since the launch of ‘My BKB App’, Bangladesh Krishi Bank has made significant strides in digital transformation, enabling customers to access modern banking services such as balance inquiries and fund transfers with ease.


The app has generated a tremendous response, particularly in the area of remittance services. As a result, in the fiscal year 2024–2025, Bangladesh Krishi Bank facilitated foreign remittance transactions totaling Tk 25,550 crore ($ 2 billion).

On behalf of Bangladesh Krishi Bank, the prestigious award was received by Md A Rahim, deputy managing director of the bank, at programme at the ministry on Thursday.

The event was graced by Salehuddin Ahmed, economic adviser, as chief guest. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury, special assistant to the chief adviser, attended as special guest.

The programme was presided over by Nazma Mobarek, secretary, Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance.
