SBAC Bank PLC organised a daylong training workshop titled ‘Islamic Banking and Shariah Awareness Program’me for officials working at Islamic Windows’ branches and head office at SBAC Bank Training Institute on Saturday.
Mohammad Zakir Hossain, additional director of the Islamic Banking Regulations and Policy Department of Bangladesh Bank, spoke about Shariah-based deposit and investment products.
Aftab Uddin, deputy director, Bangladesh Bank discussed the regulatory framework for conducting Islamic Banking and Shariah governance and its evolution at the workshop.
Md Masoodur Rahman, SEVP and head of Banking Operations Division, Md Saidur Rahman, principal of SBAC Bank Training Institute and Mohammad Rafiqul Islam Shikder, VP and head of the Islamic Banking Division of SBAC Bank were present in the programme.
