The executive committee of Bangladesh Association of Banks unanimously elected new chairman and vice-chairmen of the association at a meeting on Monday, says a press release.
The meeting was held at the board room of Bangladesh Association of Banks.
Abdul Hai Sarker, chairman of Board of Directors of Dhaka Bank PLC, has been elected as chairman and Mohammad Abdul Mannan, chairman, the Board of Directors of First Security Islami Bank PLC and Romo Rouf Chowdhury, chairman, Board of Directors of Bank Asia PLC have been elected as vice chairmen for the remaining period of the current term, till February 28, 2025, of BAB.
Abdul Awal Mintoo, chairman, Board of Directors of National Bank Ltd. and former chairman of BAB and FBCCI presided over the meeting.
