Global new energy vehicle manufacturer BYD launched the upgraded version of its electric vehicle, BYD Atto 3, on Saturday at an event at its Flagship Showroom in the capital’s Tejgaon.

According to a press release, the BYD Atto 3 is equipped with a Lithium Iron Phosphate Blade Battery, capable of charging from 30 per cent to 80 per cent in just 30 minutes using a DC fast charger.


Moreover, the vehicle also featured the e-Platform 3.0, enhancing performance, safety, and intelligence.

It holds a Euro NCAP 5-star Safety Rating, with up to 7 airbags, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems for added safety, the press release added.

Speaking about the event, Imtiaz Nawsher, chief marketing officer of BYD Bangladesh, said that Bangladesh is ready for the EV revolution, and BYD Bangladesh is working with partners, stakeholders, and policymakers to expand the charging network across the country.

‘At BYD Bangladesh, we believe that more accessible charging stations are essential for the growth of EV mobility in the country,’ he added.

The press release also stated that the upgraded BYD Atto 3 has some features, including Thaumas Black ventilated front seats, black-housed headlights, bold rim design, and a redefined exterior, along with a 12V Low Voltage LFP Battery.

Customers would have the option to choose between two range variants like the Standard Range version, priced at Tk 49.90 lakh, the Extended Range version, priced at Tk 55.90 lakh, with charge capacities of 345 kilometers and 420 kilometers, respectively, along with 8 8-year warranty for battery and motor and 6 6-year warranty for the EV.

The launch program also included live demonstrations and interactive sessions with BYD experts.

From September 21 to September 25, BYD Bangladesh will hold ‘Atto 3 week’ to experience the upgraded Atto 3.

Hafizur Rahman Khan, chairman of CG RUNNER BD LTD, was present at the event as the chief guest, along with Fahmid Ferdous, head of sales at BYD Bangladesh.

Shahnuma Sharmin, the strategy and digital manager of BYD Bangladesh, gave the welcome remarks.
