
Bangladesh confirmed their place in the quarter-finals of the boys' doubles event of the ITF World Junior Tennis Competition 2025 with a 2-0 match win over Nepal in Isa Town, Bahrain, on Thursday.
Rakin Rahman beat Sange Rokeya by 6-3, 6-1 sets in the boys’ singles event, while Kabbo Gayen defeated Biswa Bishesh by 6-3, 6-3 sets in the other boys' singles event.
In the boys’ doubles event, Bangladesh pair Kabbo and Akash Hossain defeated Nepal’s Biswa and Rijel Prarthi by 6-1, 6-1 sets.
Bangladesh also defeated Saudi Arabia by 2-1 matches.
Bangladesh’s Akash lost to Hamza Al Monsuri by 5-7, 0-6 sets, while Kabbo beat Sarouji Ahmad by 6-7, 6-2, 3-6 sets in the boys’ singles event matches.
Akash and Kabbo pair defeated Saudi Arabia's pair of Sarouji and Suhail El-Farouqi by 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 sets in the boy’s doubles events.
Players from 21 countries—Bangladesh, Bahrain, Guam, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Oman, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen—are taking part in this competition.
