
The six-day-long National Tennis Competition with a prize money of Tk 3.35 lakh began at the Ramna Tennis Complex in the city on Sunday.
A total of 165 competitors from 21 organisations, including club, school, and district teams, are taking part in the competition, organised by the Bangladesh Tennis Federation.
The participants split into two groups—men and women—are competing in four separate events—men’s and women’s singles and men’s and women’s doubles.
The BTF organisers disclosed the details of the tournament at a press conference on Sunday.Ìý
BTF vice-president and member-in-charge of the tournament sub-committee Ashrafuzzaman Khan Puton, general secretary Ishtiaq Ahmed, and treasurer MA Jinnah were present on the occasion.
