
The investigation agency of the International Crimes Tribunal on Sunday submitted its probe report accusing Awami League leader Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal – Jasad president Hasanul Huq Inu, and three others of committing crimes against humanity during the July 2024 mass uprising in Kushtia.
The report was submitted to the office of the chief prosecutor in the morning.
According to the report, the five are accused of the killing of seven people during the uprising.
The ICT’s Tribunal-1, led by Justice Md Shofiul Alam Mahmood, later directed chief prosecutor Mohammad Tajul Islam to submit formal charges in the case by September 29.
Awami League joint general secretary and former lawmaker for Kushtia-3 constituency, Mahbubul Alam Hanif, remains absconding while Innu is in jail in connection with the case.
