On Independence Day the national and party flags would be hoisted at all BNP offices across the country, including the central office in Nayapaltan, at 6:00am.

Later in the morning, party leaders and activists would march from the BNP chairperson’s office in Gulshan to the National Memorial in Savar and lay wreaths in tribute to the martyrs of the War of Independence.

BNP leaders and activists would visit the mausoleum of the party’s founder Ziaur Rahman to lay wreaths and recite Fatiha.

BNP’s district, metropolitan, upazila and municipal units across the country would also organise discussions and other programmes to mark Independence Day.
