The main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party on Tuesday announced a partial committee for its youth front Jatiyatabadi Juba Dal with Abdul Monayem Munna as president and Nurul Islam Nayan as general secretary.
A press release signed by the BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that a full-fledged central committee of the Juba Dal would be announced later.
The party announced the partial Juba Dal committee 25 days after the dissolution of the previous committee.
Munna was the general secretary of the dissolved committee of the Juba Dal while Nayan was its vice-president.
Other members of the new partially formed committee include senior vice-president Rezaul Karim Pol, joint general secretary Billal Hossain Tarek, organising secretary Kamruzzaman Jewel and office secretary Nurul Islam Sohel.
Earlier on June 14, the BNP dissolved the central committee of the Juba Dal, led by president Sultan Salahuddin Tuku and general secretary Abdul Monayem Munna.
The party formed an eight-member partial committee of Juba Dal on May 22, 2022, appointing Sultan Salahuddin Tuku as its president and Abdul Monayem Munna as its general secretary.
After nine months, on February 22, 2023, a full-fledged 251-member central Juba Dal committee was announced by the party.
