The main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party on Friday approved a five-member partial central committee of the Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Ulama Dal, Islamic scholars鈥� wing of the BNP.
Md Salim Reza and Kazi Abul Hossain have been made convener and member secretary of the new committee respectively.
Besides, Md Alamgir Hossain was made senior joint convener, while Kari Golam Mostafa and Md Delwar Hossain were made joint conveners in the committee.
BNP came up with the announcement in a press release signed by its senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
On September 30, 1979, BNP founder and former president Ziaur Rahman formed the Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Ulama Dal with people of Islamic thoughts.
