The first batch of young women fifteen days basic self-defense training concluded at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan on Saturday.聽

BKSP director (training) and project director Colonel Md. Golam Mabud Hasan was present in the closing ceremony as the chief guest and handed over the certificates and training allowances to the trainees.


Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, Golam Mabud Hasan said: "This basic training will play a strong role in building a healthy, strong youth society and defending ourselves."

He also hoped that the trained youth would always be ready to face any disaster in the country.

The basic self-defense training for youth is mainly focused on Judo, Karate, Taekwondo and Shooting (Air Gun).

The goal of this training is to increase the confidence of the youth, achieve physical balance, discipline and self-control, achieve physical fitness and make a positive impact on their lives.

Online registration is based on first come first served basis. Genuine citizens of Bangladesh age 18-35 from all over the country having at least SSC pass are physically and mentally healthy are capable of receiving this 15-day full residential training program.

A total of 8,850 youth will be trained in 114 batches at different times, including 8,250 in 102 batches for men and 600 in 12 batches for women.

Earlier, Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain formally inaugurated the basic self-defense training, initiated by Ministry of Youth and Sports.
