Bangladesh interim government chief adviser Muhammad Yunus has commended Indian prime minister Narendra Modi and Pakistani prime minister Shehbaz Sharif for agreeing to ceasefire and engaging in talks amid a bloody escalation between the two-nuclear armed rivals for days.
鈥業 most sincerely commend Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi of India and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan for agreeing to a ceasefire with immediate effect and to engage in talks,鈥� said Professor Yunus, also a Nobel laureate for peace, in a statement.
He said that he would also like to express his deep appreciation to President Trump and Secretary of State Rubio for their effective mediation.
