Bangladesh national team forward Shekh Morsalin on Wednesday left Bashundhara Kings to join six-time league champions Abahani Limited to get more playing time in next season’s Bangladesh Premier League.Ìý

The 19-year-old Morsalin managed to score four goals for five-time BPL winners Kings, who finished league in third place last season, during his 10 appearances for the club. However, he was only included in the starting eleven on two occasions.


‘I have joined the Abahani today [Wednesday]. Actually, I switched the club to get more game time, which I did not get enough of in the previous season with Kings,’ Morsalin told ¶¶Òõ¾«Æ·.

The players’ registration window for next season that started on June 1 will conclude on August 15.

Abahani are scheduled to start their training today ahead of their AFC Challenge League match against Kyrgyzstani club Muras United at the National Stadium in Dhaka on August 12.

Morsalin began his club career with Kings in 2021 before joining Mohammedan Sporting Club on loan in April 2022 and returned to Kings on August 31 of the same year.
