
A fire broke out on the top floor of the 21-storey Sena Kalyan Bhaban in Bangladesh capital’s commercial hub, Motijheel, on Thursday night.
The Fire Service and Civil Defence got the news of the incident at about 10:40pm and five units reached the spot 11 minutes later, said a FSCD press release.
Fire Service warehouse inspector Anwarul Islam said that five units of firefighters brought the fire under control in about an hour.
‘No casualty was reported in the fire incident as no one was present on the floor. We primarily assumed a short circuit of the air conditioner,’ he told ¶¶Òõ¾«Æ·.
The biggest real estate of the Sena Kalyan Sangstha is a 21-storey commercial building located at Motijheel Commercial Area with an area of 1.35 bighas of land, according to the Sangstha website.
