Two crude bombs were exploded near the International Crimes Tribunal in the capital Sunday morning.

The incident occurred hours before the submission of formal charges against the deposed prime minister and Awami League president Sheikh Hasina and two others to the tribunal for their alleged involvement in crimes against humanity committed during the July–August student-led mass uprising in 2024.

Shahbagh police station officer-in-charge Khalid Mansur told ¶¶Òõ¾«Æ· that the explosions took place at a location adjacent to the ICT premises at about 5:30am on Sunday.

‘Our bomb disposal unit reached the spot immediately after receiving the news,’ the OC said and added that they were yet to identify the people who had hurled the crude bombs there.

He said that they were taking legal actions in this connection.
