Private University National Association of Bangladesh organised a discussion on July Declaration at Abdus Salam Hall of Jatiya Press Club in Dhaka on Monday, says a press release.
The key objective of the event was to gather and activate the thoughts, recommendations, and guidance of teachers, students, and administrators who were involved in or supported the July Uprising.
The event was attended by distinguished faculty members, students, administrative officials from reputed private universities across the country, journalists, and leaders of legally recognized political parties.
Dr. Farzana Islam Rupa, Department of Public Health and Informatics, BMU and formar Adjunct Faculty, BUP and IUBAT; Masud Rana Jewel, President, Bangladesh Chhatra Andolon; Tanzimur Rahman Rafi, Joint General Secretary, Bangladesh Students' Union, President (Private University Wing); Rezaul Karim, Branch Secretary, Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir (Private University Wing); Farhan Habib, ULAB alumnus; Chief Coordinator of the 2015 "No VAT on Education" protest; Mithu Mohammad, Joint Coordinator of the East West University VAT Movement; spoke at the event .
