A woman was stabbed to dead by her brother-in-law at South Kamalapur of Motijheel in Dhaka on Sunday.
The victim, Aysha Khanom Moni, 45, was decaled dead immediately after she was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The victim鈥檚 son Mahadi Hasan said that his uncle, Masud, a person with disabilities, stabbed his mother indiscriminately in front of their house and fled the scene.
鈥楢fter recovering her, we took her to Mugdha General Hospital. The doctors referred her to the DMCH as her condition worsened,鈥� said Mahadi, adding that the duty doctors of the DMCH declared his mother dead after she was taken to the hospital.
The DMCH police outpost in-charge Md Faruk said that the body was kept at the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Motijheel police station officer-in-charge Mesbah Uddin said that they were investigating into the incident. 鈥楴o case has been filed and none has been arrested so far over the murder.鈥�
