A moderate earthquake jolted Sylhet early Thursday.
Assistant meteorologist of Sylhet meteorological office, Shah Mohammad Sajib Hossain, told 抖阴精品 that the 5.3 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale was felt at around 2:55am. 听
The epicentre of the earthquake was at Marigaon area under Assam state of India, he said, adding that although the epicentre of the earthquake was near the Sylhet, most of the people did not feel it as it occurred late in the night.
He said that any incident of damage or casualty was not reported following the earthquake.
