Bangladesh Army University of Engineering and Technology celebrated its 10th anniversary with a series of programmes on Saturday, February 22, 2025, said a press release on the day.
The programmes started at 10:00am at BAUET Plaza.
The daylong programmes included a flag hoisting ceremony, a dove release as a symbol of peace, a prayer session, cake cutting, a colorful rally, and a job fair for final-year students.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the university鈥檚 vice-chancellor, Brigadier General Md Mizanuzzaman, as the chief guest, while the Baraigram, Laila Jannatul Ferdous, attended the programme as a special guest.
Among others, the university鈥檚 treasurer Colonel Md Shawkat Hossain, PSC (Retd), registrar Lieutenantt Colonel KFA Sohel (Retd), dean, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Professor Md Nurul Islam, dean, Faculty of Science and Humanities, Professor Md Sazzad Hossain, dean, Faculty of Law, Professor Md Shahidul Islam, dean, Faculty of ECE, Professor Mohammad Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan, proctor, Md Mahmudur Rahman, student welfare advisor, Md Masudar Rahman, Heads of Departments, officials, staff and students, attended the programmes.
A vibrant rally, participated by faculty members, officials, and class representatives of students, started from BAUET Plaza, paraded through the campus鈥檚 main roads, and concluded back at the plaza.
Additionally, a day-long job fair was organised at the faculty and officers鈥� point, where 15 recruiting companies took part. These companies conducted quiz contests among the final-year students and collected CVs from job-seeers.
