The Department of Prisons has replaced boat, the electoral symbol of the ousted Awami League, with key and baton in its logo, following an order of the home ministry.
The home ministry issued the directive to change the logo replacing the symbol boat with key and baton, said a press release of the department on Sunday.
The department鈥檚 assistant inspector general Jannat-Ul-Farhad told 抖阴精品 that the home ministry directed them to issue an order on Thursday and it came into effect immediately.
According to jail officials, the baton symbolises discipline and safety of the prison inmates while the key is meant for the path of light for prisoners.
