
Bangladesh Chhatra Kalyan Trust organised national seminar on ‘Role of Student–People’s protest in building future Bangladesh’ and released Student–People’s uprising-2024 calendar at International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka on Monday.
Professor M Aminul Islam, special assistant of education ministry, was present as chief guest while professor Md Saidur Rahman, special assistant of health and family welfare ministry, was special guest, said a press release.
The event was presided over by major general (retired) professor Md Azizul Islam. Moderated by founder and executive director of Bangladesh Chhatra Kalyan Trust Nur E Alam Talukder, the seminar was addressed by professor AM Sarwaruddin Chowdhury, vice-chancellor of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, teacher’s leader Selim Bhuyan, member secretary of Gano Odhikar Parishad Faruk Hasan, its joint secretary Tareq Rahman, publisher of Dhoni Publication Mahabubur Rahman.
The speakers called upon the two special assistants to form a separate student welfare ministry or directorate for medical treatment of the mass uprising injured.
