A team of the Rapid Action Battalion on Tuesday arrested a former Awami League lawmaker from Cox鈥檚 Bazar-4 constituency, Abdur Rahman Bodi, at a location in GEC area in Chattogram.
Leiutenant Cornel Mahabubur Alam of RAB-7 confirmed the news.
He said the former lawmaker was wanted in a case lodged on Saturday with Teknaf Police Station in Cox鈥檚 Bazar.
He said that they sent Bodi to Teknaf Police Station for taking further legal action.
The name of Bodi was included in a list of 鈥榩atrons of drug smuggling鈥�, prepared by the home ministry. At least 26 members of his family, including Bodi's four brothers, are on the list as 'Yaba Godfather'.
