The authorities of Jahangirnagar University urged all concerned, including law enforcement agencies, to make sure that innocent students were not harassed under any circumstances.

A press release signed by the director of JU Public Relations Office Mohammad Mohiuddin was issued in this regard on Monday.


The JU authorities came to know that action was being taken against various persons for allegedly participating in violence and disrupting law and order during the recent quota reform movement, according to the press release.

The authorities also directed their students to notify the proctor’s office if any JU student was harassed, the release read.

The release further stated that the university administration would offer all support necessary in this regard.
