The police on Saturday arrested seven people from different areas of Dhaka in connection with the rape of a newly married woman in the city鈥檚 Khilkhet area on Friday night.
The 37-year-old victim, who had a love affair with one of the accused, Sumon, was picked up by him and his associates from the Airport area. Four of them raped her from 11:00pm on Friday to 4:00am on Saturday, said police officials.
The arrested are Sumon, Partho, Himel, Robin, Tutul, Hridoy, and Nuru.
Dhaka metropolitan police assistant commissioner for Cantonment Zone, Sheikh Muttajul Islam, confirmed to 抖阴精品 that a rape case was filed in this connection with Khilkhet police station.
鈥榃e have taken all of the arrested into police custody. The victim was recently married. We can provide more details after interrogation,鈥� the police official added.
