The throat-slit body of a youth was found at Mohammadpur village under Gobindpur union of Laksam in Cumilla on Saturday night.
The deceased is Abu Hanif, 30, son of Ali Akbar of Nairpar village of Kandirpar union of the upazila.
Sahabuddin Khan, officer-in-charge of the Laksam police, said that a case was filed with the Laksam police in this regard accusing four people, including one Monir Hossain, 38.
Local people said that on Saturday evening, the body of Abu Hanif, an autorickshaw driver, was spotted behind the school of Mohammadpur village of Gobindpur union of the upazila.
On information, the Laksam police recovered the body and took it to Laksam Upazila Health Complex, the police officer said.
Later, the body was taken to Cumilla Medical College Hospital, he added.
Sahabuddin Khan said, 鈥楨fforts are on to arrest accused Monir Hossain and the others accused in the case. The incident is being investigated and those involved will also be brought to justice.鈥�
