Leaders of opposition political parties and academics, on Thursday at a discussion meeting in Dhaka, called on all oppositions to wage movements against the Awami League government to end its misrule.

Amar Bangladesh Party organised the meeting at its central office at Bijoynagar to mark the 4th founding anniversary of the party, where its convener Solaiman Chowdhury chaired.


Main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party joint secretary general Moazzem Hossain Alal called on all the opposition political parties to wage movements to compel the Awami League government to resign from the power.

BRAC University teacher Mahboob Hossain said that Awami League had seized voting rights of the people.

Nagarik Oikya president Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Revolutionary Workers Party general secretary Saiful Huq, Gono Forum general secretary Subrata Chowdhury, Gono Odhikar Parishad president Nurul Haque Nur, BNP central leaders Shama Obaid, Rumin Farhana and others spoke at the meeting.

Member secretary of AB Party Mojibur Rahman Monju thanked the guests for attending the programme.
