Furryghor begins a new chapter for pet lovers in Bangladesh

Love for pets is growing in the overcrowded, messy city of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.As people’s purchasing power rises, their lifestyles and hobbies are also changing. Many city residents now find comfort in pets, especially cats and dogs. But when it’s time to travel for holidays or leave town for work, a question comes up: Who will look after the pets? For a long time, there was no safe, trusted place to leave them. That changed three years ago with the arrival of Furryghor. In 2022, three entrepreneurs — Rakibul Haq Emil, Nuzhat Nabila, and Khalid Farhan — opened Dhaka’s first-ever pet hotel near Mirpur Zoo Road. Furryghor was created to give cats and dogs a safe, cosy place to stay while their owners are away. It quickly became a game-changer. Pets can stay for a day or a longer period. A well-trained care team ensures they’re looked after with love and attention.
